The Snookys: Great garage-punk from Italy (NOT JERSEY SHORE RELATED!)
Who Are you?
Hey, I'm Andrea, singer of the Snookys.
Who are you wearing?
If you knew you'd lose everything in a flood, what would you put in your car when it came time to evacuate?
My record collection, my teddy bear and all of the alcohol and weed left in the house.
What pizza would be a Snookys official pizza?
Obviously a norma pizza, which is a margherita with fried eggplants and ricotta cheese.
In a fight between you and Snooky from Jersey Shore, who would win?
She would make me fall on my knees puking endlessly only by seeing her, so certainly her.
Did you meet Snooky when she was in Italy?
Of course. I met her with my lawyers to sue her for stealing my band's name.
Best thing about being a band in Italy?
Touring outside Italy screaming at people with the typical italian gesture like this:
How sexy are you?
I'm really really sexy but the standards here are so high so actually I'm quite ugly.
Best tips for American bands touring Italy?
Enjoy the fabulous girls, and before any concert, warm up at the bar with a lot of "Negroni Sbagliati."
What is your message for the kids?
To quote some really wise words by an Italian band, "Don't be afraid, just see what your hands will bring. Let yourself go. Keep on doing your own things.
And I add, turn off the TV, start a band and buy a lot of records.
