Who are you?

I will define myself by my occupations. Musician, artist, handyman, home-owner.

Who are you wearing?

P.F. Flyer shoes that I got for free, (thanks to the P.F. Flyer Co.), Vietnam-era army tropical combat trousers, also free (thanks to my pal Matt Strickland), and. J. Crew t-shirt, not free.

Goriest movie you’ve ever seen?

I'm not a gory movie fan, but my friend was a photographer for the Wayne County morgue, so I've seen a lot of graphic crime/death scene photos. I'm still haunted by those.

[Ed. note: Dan later emailed us: "I remembered that I have seen some gory movies, so the goriest movies I've ever seen are drivers ed movies like "Signal 30". I also saw the first "Faces of Death". One was enough for me."]

Best part of playing a show in your skivvies?

Freedom of movement.

Why is Mick Collins so awesome?

Imagination, intelligence, open minded-ness, vision.

I know you fine, but how you doin’?

Fine (repeat to infinity).

Favorite Oblivians song?

"And Then I Fucked Her."

Motown or Fortune?

They were both brilliant, but my taste tends toward the raw and weird so, I'll go with Fortune. Plus, Fortune had more variety.

What are your tour survival tips?

Coffee, naps, Wet Wipes, tea tree chewing sticks, electric shaver.

What’s your message for the kids?

See Don Howland interview. I couldn't answer this question better than he does.
