Out now on Hidden Volume Records!

We have to give a shout out to one of the coolest new labels around, Hidden Volume, out of Baltimore. Since John Waters is from Baltimore, everything from Baltimore is inherently cool, but Hidden Volume would be cool anywhere because they are putting out tons of awesome records.

We wanted to walk y'all through their still small but killer catalogue. For a new label, they've been putting out records at breakneck speed, and from the looks of things they have a ton of great singles scheduled for later this year, from Ohio's The Torments, Brooklyn's Quitty and The Don'ts, and way more.

First up is Sick Thoughts "I Got Hands". Sick Thoughts is one Drew Owen, age 16, a teen terrorist weened on a steady diet of Killed By Death comps, Flamin' Groovies and hot dogs. This prolific band (1 LP, 2 cassettes, 3 singles and several side projects--in one year!) brings us the ultimate self-loathing/love anthem "I Got Hands". The flip is a down and dirty punk stomper in the 79 tradition.

Limited edition of 300. 150 pink/150 orange vinyl. Sleeve designed by Drew himself. Includes lyric sheet so you can sing along and a digital download card.  Buy it HERE for a measly $5!

Next up is The Belltowers "No Matter". Two tracks of psych-folk-rock. Ample amounts of killer harmonies, 12-string jangle and a heavy dose of Byrds and Love make this the soundtrack to summer. Ex-members of The Lears, The Green Today and Los Knievels.

This single is limited to 300 copies on clear vinyl. Full color pocket sleeve with artwork by Carl Nielson and X10. Comes with Digital Download Card and an exclusive Belltowers sticker. This one is also $5 tiny dollars. Buy it HERE.

Anything called "The Scrump" cannot be bad. It just can't. Here we have the blistering sleaze-a-phonic sax driven single by GA/FL instrumental quartet, The Delusionaires! Two sides of low-fi slop that should satisfy any fan of the Las Vegas Grind series of bump n' grind instros. Features members of The Tandoori Knights, Mondellos and Wild-Tones.

PINK vinyl, limited edition of 300 copies. VINYL ONLY. Comes in a handsome Stoughton jacket designed by X10 featuring a sizzling pin-up by Greg Reinel. Ships with an exclusive Dels coaster. At $6, we are gonna have to say this is still the bargain of the century. Buy it HERE.

We know The Ar-Kaics' "Sick and Tired" is a killer because it ain't hidin' behind no fancy artwork. This is the first release from Hi-Vo's "Factory Series". "Sick and Tired" is a classic garage thumper that would be at home on Back From The Grave Vol. 10 or maybe even 11. The B-Side slows it down to a 13th Floor Elevators style psych-punk crawl just for good measure.

This is a Hidden Volume Records "Factory Series" 45 RPM single. Black vinyl, limited edition of 300 copies. VINYL ONLY. Comes with a fancy Hi-Vo house sleeve designed by X10 and lovingly screened by Steady Print Co of Minneapolis. Each single ships with a souvenir Ar-Kaics matchbook! Buy this garage monstrosity HERE for just $5.

Now we come to The Stents, the crown jewels of Baltimore's garage rock scene! "Meet Mike Hate" is the first single from Baltimore's ultimate garage rock combo, and thankfully, it is not the last. Two hits of primitive riffs, maracas and hammond B-3 grind. Recorded at Invisible Sound Studios, 2012. Limited Ed. of 500 pressed on sexy red vinyl. Deluxe Hi-Vo pocket sleeve by X10!

Includes immediate download of 2-track album in the high-quality format of your choice (MP3, FLAC, and more), plus unlimited streaming via the free Bandcamp app. Only $5! Buy it HERE.

"Limbs" is the second single from The Stents. Recorded during the "Meet Mike Hate" sessions, April 2012. Limited ed. 300, green vinyl 7" in custom Hi-Volume jacket. Art by X10.

Includes immediate download of 2-track album in the high-quality format of your choice (MP3, FLAC, and more), plus unlimited streaming via the free Bandcamp app. Only 5 bux! Buy it HERE.

You can also listen to all these gems at Hidden Volume's Soundcloud page. Now go buy them already!! Why are you still even reading this! GO!
